Overview
Afro & The Diaspora invites artists to submit work for physical display during Art Basel Week at Afro Lounge in Hollywood, Florida. Selected pieces will be exhibited on-site and added to our digital and virtual museum collection.
Artists keep 100% of the price they set for any artwork sold. A separate fee will be added by Afro & The Diaspora to support shipping, handling, and nonprofit programming.
There is no fee to submit.
Eligibility
Open to visual artists whose work explores or connects to the African diaspora. All mediums are welcome.
Artists from any location may apply.
How to Apply
Please submit:
- Up to 5 images of completed artwork
- A brief artist statement
- Your social media links or website

Shipping Requirement
Selected artists must agree to ship their artwork to Afro Lounge in a timely manner, ensuring arrival before the installation deadline provided upon acceptance.
Artists are responsible for packaging and outbound shipping. Return shipping arrangements will be coordinated if needed.
Description of Opportunity
Selected artists will have their work:
- Displayed physically during Art Basel Week
- Included in our virtual museum
- Promoted across Afro & The Diaspora platforms
- Offered for sale, with artists keeping their full listed price
Selection Process
Artwork will be reviewed based on:
- Artistic quality
- Relevance to diaspora themes
- Suitability for physical display
Accepted artists will receive installation details, shipping instructions, and deadlines.
